This Privacy Policy explains what information Pingboy collects, how it is used, and how it is stored. Pingboy is a private Discord bot built for a single user.

Pingboy does not collect personal data from Discord users. No usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, or private account details are stored or tracked.

2. Account Authorization

For TikTok and Twitch integrations, users may need to authorize access via official platform APIs. This is used solely to subscribe to events (such as video uploads or stream starts) for a given content creator.

No user passwords or access tokens are stored.
Pingboy uses only platform-issued app access tokens to identify itself as a valid service.
Authorization is limited to what is needed for notifications and can be revoked by the user at any time.

YouTube integration does not require account login or authorization.

3. Stored Metadata

To manage notification delivery, Pingboy stores limited operational data, including:

Content creator identifiers (e.g., usernames, channel IDs)
Video/stream/post IDs
Timestamps
Notification flags (e.g., "already sent")
Associated Discord server IDs

This metadata allows Pingboy to avoid duplicate notifications and route updates to the correct server. It does not include personal data about Discord users or platform account owners.

4. Data Sharing

Pingboy does not share any data with third parties. No analytics, tracking, or advertising tools are used.

5. Data Security

Pingboy stores metadata locally and takes reasonable steps to protect it. No sensitive user credentials are stored, and app tokens are kept in a secure environment. However, because Pingboy is an experimental project, no guarantee of absolute security is made.

6. Children's Privacy

Pingboy is not designed for children under 13. No data is knowingly collected from anyone, regardless of age.

7. Third-Party Services

Pingboy interacts with YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch through their official APIs. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by these platforms. Please refer to their privacy policies for how they manage your data.
